(Windsor, ON October 9, 2009) DataRealm
Inc. will introduce advanced web-based
tool life monitoring software at the
unique two day "Automation Rendez-vous
2009 conference that is part of this
year's Canadian Manufacturing Technology
Show. The conference will run October
20-21, 2009 in the Direct Energy Centre,
Toronto, ON.
As part of its implementation of Manufacturing
Business Intelligence solutions, DataRealm
has developed a tool life monitoring
system, known as ToolMon, that is
able to:
  |
Predict upcoming
tool changes by hourly increments. |
  |
Provide immediate
tool breakage analysis |
  |
Connects directly
to cutting machines. |
  |
Compare tool
life across machines, departments,
plants. |
"We believe that our product
will be very attractive to the market
because it is web-based and thus assessable
by any type of intranet-connected
computer, from laptops to mobile devices.
The value of this software is that
it can increase productivity and end
unplanned downtime. It does this by
collecting detailed operational data
as tools operate including such critical
measurements as time remaining for
each tool. This eliminates the guesswork
and uncertainty of planning tool productivity,"
explains DataRealm President Dave
Fortin.
He adds, "Data collected from
each machine forms a formidable base
of historical reports which provide
the reliable and comprehensive statistics
on tool changes, tool life and tool
breakages needed for problem analysis
and machine productivity comparisons.
It is information of this type that
helps operators and engineers understand
and reduce tool breakage.
